Set against the stunning East Lothian coastline, the day unfolded with a perfect blend of relaxed luxury, heartfelt emotion, and unforgettable moments — the kind of wedding that reminds you why Archerfield is such a special place to say “I do.”
A Humanist Ceremony Filled With Heart
The day began inside the beautiful Archerfield House, where the couple exchanged vows in an intimate humanist ceremony led by Ivan Middleton. The soft indoor light, the warmth of family and friends, and Ivan’s thoughtful words created a ceremony that felt deeply personal and full of meaning.
With four bridesmaids and a wedding party full of energy, the morning preparations were filled with excitement. Stacey Leigh Spalding worked her magic with makeup, while Lisa Cramb created a timeless bridal hairstyle that paired beautifully with the bride’s stunning gown from Kavelle.
Capturing the Day
Working alongside the incredibly talented Sean Bell, we captured every moment as it unfolded — from the quiet anticipation before the ceremony to the laughter and emotion that filled the room during the vows.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds enjoyed a relaxed drinks reception at 3pm, giving us the perfect opportunity to slip away for some natural, romantic portraits around the Archerfield grounds. The soft coastal breeze, the golden light, and the peaceful surroundings made for a beautiful backdrop.
A Waterfront Celebration
The celebrations continued at the Waterfront at Archerfield, where guests gathered for a 5:30pm meal. The space looked incredible thanks to the styling and coordination of Jordana Events, who brought the couple’s vision to life with elegance and detail.
Guests enjoyed craft beer from Stewart’s Brewing, adding a personal touch to the drinks selection and keeping the atmosphere relaxed and joyful.
Evening Celebrations
As evening guests arrived around 8:30pm, the atmosphere shifted into full celebration mode. With the cake cutting and first dance still to come, the night promised even more unforgettable moments — the perfect ending to a day filled with love, elegance, and joy.
